I believe that you are the first person to post that plate on the site Janice ......
Though I'm very familiar with it and tried many different searches to see if it was hiding somewhere and I couldn't find it.
Where do you think we should put it?
In the Patterns Gallery or the Monogrammed Gallery?

I think the Monogrammed Gallery would be a perfect place for it.. As a side note:- I bought this plate years ago, when I bought everything i saw, chipped or not.. For some reason??? I tucked it behind some tall books on the shelves and forgot about it. Probally because I would never use it to eat from? maybe... your new gallery reminded me of it, now I will move it and put it with the rest of the collection. :O)

Can I suggest it goes in the Tablewear patterns gallery, as this is where we have the other similar plates, like the Salvation Army etc, and this is not so much a monogrammed item, as a particular pattern, made for a special event/organisation, even if not made for everyday use? sunny

Free Mason Centenary plate Empty National Army Museum NZ Commemorative Plate #2 Proposer and Artist Ssgt Colin Andrews

Post  Colin.Andrews Wed 30 Oct 2024 - 17:01

I, Colin Andrews, also designed the 'FREE MASON CENTENARY PLATE' about the same time as the Army Memorial Museum Plate. Then later, I designed the 'Lions International Commemorative Plate' for the then new Lions, World President, Lloyd Morgan a New Zealander from the Kapiti Coast, Wellington. However, this one was not produced in New Zealand but, my design was sent to the USA for the Plate's manufacture. The plates were sold in New Zealand.

Thank you and Cheers
Colin J. Andrews

Sorry Ev, the Lion's plate was not made by Crown Lynn. It was made in the USA. International Lions wanted a higher quality white clay that we didn't have in New Zealand.
