I know that pink is rare, ('cause Banker owns most of it Very Happy ) I see from the times that the dark grey has been listed, that it is rare in a tulip at least, like this one up to $55.50 already http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=660891666. So, what about black then? Is it a rare colour too? I see some high prices paid for a black saucer http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/crown-lynn/cups-saucers/auction-653117675.htm $45 for 4, and 2 black tulips http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/crown-lynn/cups-saucers/auction-655019595.htm for $96.00!

Ev, the first link didn't work for me.

I've seen the pink, and I've seen the black now.
Let's see the pink sitting on the black.

I don't have much to do with colour glaze. So how does the lime green fit into the scale of commonness/rarity? Orange?

Sorry Ev! I wasn't concentrating. Thought it was your topic.

The burgundy is an interesting choice.
With the Cook & Serve, the only thing I've seen in that sort of colour is the Mexico.
No generics.
But the rarest colour in Cook & serve saucer must be the brown, as I have only ever seen the one.
Could of course be others I haven't seen.

Thanks Ev, that's the one, I have to remember not to put a full stop after them, as they won't work then.

At the Retro Fair I noticed the softest baby blue cup and saucer that I had never seen before and banker has listed a saucer and says it is hard to find ... make that rare!

Well the above set sold for $116.00 and as I've seen that yellow cup many times it must have been because of the ever so soft blue saucer.

What colours do the Cook and Serve saucers come in? I recently picked up two, plus cups. the saucers are black and dark teal. They match the colours on the cups somewhat. Cheers. Smile

Thelma, I presume "dark teal" is tango blue. If not then please show.

BTW. Rarest colours in the 792 saucers for me so far are Reflections (well, that's a pattern!) and dark green (what's that about!?!), one each, but the real rare ones are probably the ones I haven't seen yet: a black can? a pink saucer? Who knows?

If anyone has anything that I don't then they're not letting on. The topic has been up a few years now, had plenty of views, but no one else has added new patterns or colours.

Out of the blue this year have appeared white and Focus cans and just this last week a Reflections can and saucer (782 duo, not the 3618 I already had): there must be more.

Hi, The coffee cans are Tacoma. The blue saucer is probably tango blue.

I picked up my first ever Pink Saucer last month at a little second hand shop, for a grand total of $5.

No crazing, stamped Carribeanware.

Finally have a Duo :-)
