Re: Country Fair Shapes
Hon-john sent this photo to the site several years ago and couldn't read the number.
Can somebody help identify the number please? Is it the 6049 Oil & Vinegar Jug perhaps?

Country Fair vinegar jug: shape 6049
YES.
I have one that's pretty clear.
I can post a photo if you need it.

Re: Country Fair Shapes
Thanks Jeremy, but I will go with John's photo this time.
It's nice to see the sticker still on it, maybe it has never even been used?

Is this Country Fair too please?
I bought this today, but it has no markings of any kind, and no sticker. Is it the real thing do you think? It looks right to me, and lucky to have the base as well.

Re: Country Fair Shapes
This glaze is quite nice and I have contemplated buying the odd piece BUT I have to say this butter keep is stunning - The rounded edges and its general shape, with base as well and I think because is mainly the green glaze, rather than the brown. Good find.. I love it.. Not as much as Tosca though but its up there ..... hehehehe

Re: Country Fair Shapes
My apologies for not posting mine. I thought there was one in the gallery already. But this one is greener and prettier, so we would't have got to see it if I had!
I have been watching a Country Fair teapot on ebay.com.au ( I don't know how to copy a link on the iPad), the medium size one, but it would cost $100 to repatriate it. Patience, Jeremy, patience!

Salt pig 1464
I think this splendid salt pig is Country Fair. It has a flat back designed to hang on a nail on the wall.

Country Fair jug 6056
The middle sized jug... The number is very indistinct but after much peering in different lights, I am confident this is it. It's 15.5 cm tall.

Re: Country Fair Shapes
Thanks so much. The records don't show measurements for these.
This one was first made in July 1979.

Ev,
I realised I had not posted a photo of the 1261, so I have now.
You'll find it at the start of the topic here:

You can use it for the gallery and cross it off the Country Fair list, here:

Country Fair apricot and white
Hi in my boxes I have found my pastel Country Fair items... my reference for these is Ceramics Summer 1978, which I don't have a copy of so I guess it's from the Auckland Museum library. Both the apricot and white are badly crazed, I think they will end up at the Sallies shop before long.
They all look like this on the base:

Re: Country Fair Shapes
I've taken this from an advert for Country Fair and think it is the 1310 Bobbles Cup as we don't have it in the Gallery ...
What are your thoughts?

Re: Country Fair Shapes
It's a tricky picture Ev but unless there is a soup mug shape we're looking for I think that must be it. We can't see the whole thing so it could be the jug but it does look different from the one above.

Re: Country Fair Shapes
Sorry as I ran out of time ... There is a bigger pic to come and they have the title of Coffee Mugs.
Re: Country Fair Shapes
Here you go ....
In this photo you can see a Rectangular Tray above the mugs and below out of sight is a Round Tray and I can't find them in the records ..... yet!

Re: Country Fair Shapes
1266 (round) and 1271 (oblong), cheese dish and butter dish. They are in the gallery.
As whoever put this display together was not communicating with the person whose descriptions are going into the gallery I think I'd have to agree that the "coffee mugs" in the photo are 1310 bobbles cups. We have the taller mugs (1269) and the number is marked on them.

Re: Country Fair Shapes
Hi Everyone,
Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I have a rectangular butter dish in the country fair green/brown in perfect condition with stickers and salt and pepper shakers to match. I have decided to sell them but have no idea what price as I cant find anything similar on trade me. Does anyone have any suggestions ? I am doing a market on Sunday so thought this was the best place to ask. Also if anyone is looking for these shapes your more than welcome to make an offer. I believe you have photos of them both now in gallery other wise I would be more than happy to take some.
Thanks in advance for your help and apologies if this is in the wrong place for this question!
