I'd like to know which NZ potters produce porcelain. I have a set of small porcelain items with a tiny circular stamp, the top half of which is covered by glaze, and the bottom half appears to show Y or perhaps V. Thanks.

Hi Guinevere, and welcome to the site! Firstly you could check out our gallery http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/gallery/New-Zealand-Potters-Marks/New-Zealand-Potters-Marks-cat_c23.htm or the NZ Potters site at http://www.nzpotters.com/PottersMarks/PottersMarks_Thumbs.cfm?next=no&b=4 or send us a photo and we can see if one of our members knows the mark.

Thanks, I've tried both avenues without success. Have been trying to load a photo here following Ev's instructions dated 7 Feb. but come unstuck when I reach the last para: click onto your post - not sure how!

Here is the photo of the mark -

Just to let you know that most of the potter's that I know have made pieces using porcelain clay, including myself. Not many specialised in porcelain, but a few did and the mark on your pot doesn't match any that I know.
