Petite little vase J33
A new listing under the above heading
http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/crown-lynn/vases/auction-632950911.htm
shows a "vase" with bobble decoration very like the Titian Country Fair range.
Is it in fact a vase? It does look like a vase.
I tend to avoid vases as I have a house full of glass ones.
The designation "J33" means absolutely nothing to me.
I've had a quick look at the double digit vases and don't know where to look next.
What is the "J" designation?
In size it is very close to the Country Fair 1275 small corked canister, particularly the ones with transfer decoration (rather than the distinctive brown, green, yellow and black glazes but besides that and the bobble decoration, is a totally different shape).
Could it be based on the titian Country Fair, or vice versa?

Re: Petite little vase J33
You will find that vase to be the little 133 in the Crown Lynn Shapes Gallery [the trader has read the 1 as a J].
All of the 3 digit number shapes were made between 1946 to 1964 and then Crown Lynn changed to four digit shape numbers and the amount of shapes exploded.
I have a strong feeling that the later four digit shapes with 'bobbles' are in fact from the Titian range that was taken over by Crown Lynn and adopted as their own four digit shapes from around 1967/1968. Sorry I hope that makes sense hahaaaa I'm a wee bit tired ......
There are a lovely selection of little vases in the three digit old range and they often turn up in op shops for $1 or so.

133 and 1275
.133.
I picked one of these up today. Could have had two. A friend died in July and his son had a garage sale this morning, to which I was given advance notice. Mine is reddy-brown. Other, damaged was mottled red. Sits on the shelf with recently acquired Country Fair, including a 1275 from the same place, grey at the top to creamy white at bottom. Again, could have had a second, which was white. The vase would look at home on the dining table with food served from Country Fair.
