Yes I would say that's a definite mark match sunshine, but I only know her for her arty work which is very clever indeed. Well done

Is Weka Pottery Ann Verdcourt or do they just have similar marks?
Is Weka Pottery Ann Verdcourt or do they just have similar marks?
A while back I bought three black and white mugs on tm, two of which survived NZ Post. The mark appeared to be identical to that of Ann Verdcourt. I thought that I had posted them with a query to Ann Verdcourt but cannot find them.
I now see three pieces for sale on tm attributed to "Weka Pottery" and see that the marks and work look like my mugs, so will assume that mine are also Weka.

I have asked the seller what potter's name is associated with Weka. If there is no connection other than similarity of mark I will post my mugs and mark as Weka Pottery next week.
I did notice that the mark in the gallery is incised and the Weka marks are slip trailed.

I had saved those luscious bowls to my watchlist with the view of looking into the mark, but now you have saved me the trouble thanks Jeremy. I can't find a Weka connection anywhere on the net and the AW also looks like WW. Let's hope that the trader can answer your question appropriately.

Seller says they believe that Weka Pottery is Liz Downey and Craig Powell.
I'll post my mugs with that info when I get back up North if that sounds okay to you Ev ... and Anne.
