My Crown Lynn Addiction
I spent the evening going through the photos in this forum, checking out everyone's fantastic collections and thought, as Monday (12/08) is my first year anniversary in this house, it was time to take some pics. They've come a long way from the moving boxes...
My Cabinet
I am minding my mother's collection of Willow, Heritage and Homestyle and my door knobs, light and bathroom fixtures are CL too. Will add photos when I get the chance...
Very pleased indeed.

Woop Woop
I think your collection has overtaken mine now
It's so excellent to see it all on display, especially the Steenstra vases
Does that Coffee Pot in the first pic with the Autumn Splendour design have a number?
What a cheerful display ...... well it makes me smile broadly

The unusual lid is number 1240.
I knew you'd given me the details for the jug somewhere on here...it was under the Looking for Autumn Splendour Shapes.

Just had a look at your great collection. Amazing, and you have shelves. I dream of having a wall of shelves to display all my CL and temuka treasures, (sigh)

Re: My Crown Lynn Addiction
DaSiEm, I note two things:
1. The green Narvik dinnerware: I do regret not buying my late friend Graham's blue Narvik earlier today!
****been there done that, and picked up a white Country Fair 1275 to sweeten the price****
2. You have an Orzel Basketweave Tea Canister. I picked up a lidless Sugar from our Hospice shop and have a complete one on the way, and earlier today picked up my Coffee Canister, just over an hour after the tm auction ended.
I suspected there would be, but now I know there is a Tea canister too! Something else to look out for.
The coffee one was onsold from a buy at the Sallies, my sugar find from Hospice, both in Whangarei.
That means they are out there.
****found one, your colour, facing backwards, on tm but too costly yet****
Mine are both white over red-brown glaze, and I have 2 cups in the same from Hospice. I have put the Coffee canister to work already, and a freshly brewed coffee looks perfect against the white inside of the cups.
Do you have more Orzel in there?

Re: My Crown Lynn Addiction
Finally, a sunny day to sit and geek.
Hi Jeremy, until yesterday, the Tea Canister was my only piece of Orzel. I window picked it at the Sallies in GI earlier in the year, good price too. Knew it would go nicely with my honey glazed mugs and jugs.
I went to the Swanson Markets yesterday and picked up this cutie:
The Settlers Collection by ORZEL INDUSTRIES N.Z - Mixed Spice
So now that makes 2 pieces.
The Narvik was left by my partner's parents when we moved to the farm, turns out they got a few dinner sets and vases in the 70's / 80's, my partner is an only child so most of them survived the 80's and were eventually packed away in the house. The Outlaws, as I affectionately call them, weren't too fussed and as I came across them during the moving transistion, MIL just told me to add them to my collection. My partner put the hard word down that they were not to be sold...as they were literally his childhood plates.
They are my favourite too bopmum. Big, lots of space to fit heaps of pieces on...should I be lucky to find a third, I'll let you know.
The purple shelves were my first Thelma. The cabinet was a bargain from the Sallies, one is a broken book shelf, the other a stand at a garage sale that no one wanted. I still have far too many pieces on the floor of my office but I have no intention of stopping.
Still can't get to my mum's stuff but here are some photos I forgot:
I have a bit of Vintage ovenware as well but they are all stacked for every day use.
Having relooked at the photos, I really need to clean the handles and lightswitch covers. Time for sun...and chickens.

Re: My Crown Lynn Addiction
And finally, my mother's stash of Crown Lynn - Heritage, Homestead and Blue Willow. These's also a boxed Crown Lynn of 4 cups and saucers, as well as some Pioneer Ovenware.
Might be time for a downsize...

I use Vintage for my every day stuff...which are the second and third photos a couple of posts back. Was really lucky and got a huge collection off TM with just about everything a few years ago...
The set came with heaps of ovenware too...

Nice, I like Vintage as well. I have a few pieces but use Tosca and Blue speckled for everyday.

Hey 8omnia8! Wow, I posted this nearly 2 years ago! I have done a small clean out and rearranged my shelves since but I have definitely added to my collection...I'm doing a sort shortly as I'm about to give birth to my first child and it is literally a problem. And I'm hoping if I start now, by the time my son starts crawling, most of it should be out of reach.
It is hard to imagine where I'm going to store hundreds of pieces of Crown Lynn but if this kid is as active outside as he is inside, I have to save my collection.
I'll try and get my shit together and get some new pics up at some point.
