Country Fair Range
Today I saw a beautiful example of the largest jug from this range as shown on the left of the photo in Val Monk's first book on page 129.
Priced at $45 I didn't buy and didn't have my camera but it seemed to be numbered
6045 but that number is already on the gallery. The numbers were all rather hard to read through the heavy glaze. The Jug measures approx. 180mm high .
It matches a small storage jar that I have from this range which can be seen at
http://newzealandpottery.forumotion.net/t2373-perhaps-a-large-spice-jar-1275?highlight=storage+jars
Can anybody suggest what the shape number might be.

Re: Country Fair Range
The Country Fair range is listed in the records as "Bobble" ware.
There are a few jugs listed, so I will show you what they are -
6048 "Bobbles" Kitchen Jug
6049 "Bobbles" Oil & Vinegar Jug
6056 "Bobbles" Milk Jug
6058 "Bobbles" Cream Jug
All of the above were made between 1977 and 1980.
I think I can tell which one you mean, but I will leave it up to you Jonno
Hmmm it appears that we don't have any of these in the Four Digit Gallery...

Re: Titian Country Fair Range
Thanks Ev,
So most likely it is 6048 'The Kitchen Jug' which I guess is the biggest size.
May try to get a photo tomorrow presuming it hasn't been sold.

Re: Titian Country Fair Range
Here is a photo of the largest jug in this range for the gallery courtesy of Hospice Shop
Link Drive. The BS is very hard to read though the glaze.
I am also posting another jug , Made in New Zealand is just visible but not the number.I am guessing another from Titian?? Approx 120mm High x 80mm dia.
Quite a unique shape and a lovely soft brown glaze, also courtesy of the Hospice Shop.

Re: Country Fair Range
Wow.. Yes I see that now!! (you had said the number 1084 on the jug above, I should have picked up that it was a zero and not a six.. duh,,) -- I searched on the number that I thought it said... and then on "country Fair" as I thought it was something simalar.. This is not something I would usually buy, but it took my eye... -- you are like the oracle "all knowing"
