Jeremy and I have been discussing these beauties today and as promised I have started a thread dedicated to the humble crown lynn spice cannisters.

So far I have three of their range I am aware of one other which is white/cream and quite plain, but like a typical addict I feel it might be next on my hit list Laughing

Is anyone aware of any more?

Edited to add, appologies for the state of my pantry wall used as a backdrop!

Thanks, that's one I don't have to do now. I'm sorry I missed out when your "off-loaded" you excess Carousel, but thanks to you my shelf will now be full, with Cordon Bleu and Athens. (I'll probably have to build another eventually.)

Your pictures have also given me come clues about how to show what's inside these anonymous little containers.
So far I have just put mine in alphabetical order of contents so it's been a bit of a guessing game.
I do not know whether these transfers are under- or over-glaze: have you been able to remove them safely?

I took a photo today of an Athens Cook & Serve can beside an Athens canister to get an idea of scale.
If anyone is interested the canister slides into the coffee can!

I too am looking forward to seeing other patterns to. I found one on an expired trademe listing yesterday but did not save the link.
The canister has the name "Madéro" in brown on white, and some squiggles forming an oval for the spice name.
The understamp reads:

I have tried successfully to remove the clear spice labels off the Carousel containers but dare not on the Athens, the labels used on those appear to have more "stick" and also because some of my Athens Cannisters have flakes of black that is coming off I just didn't want to risk removing a label and being left with an ugly mess.

Madero, that is the name that was escaping me. Must keep an eye out for those when they come up.

Thanks for the Cordon Bleu pic uno, as I will add it to the Patterns Gallery Very Happy

I finally found a Small Spice Jar 3011 in the records - first made around March 1964 which concurs with these patterns, so I will add a photo to the Four Digit Shapes Gallery thanks so much Very Happy
