3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
These were first made in 1965 and the only reason I found the number was from a thread on Trademe asking about them. While linking photos to topics today I saw the jug with this same handle the 6011 and then I knew how to find the cup, just by finding the same description as the jug. Oh happy day

PS : For the Trademe folk - the 3019 cup with the D handle was first made in 1967.

Re: 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
Other than this decimal cup, l can only think of carousel and four seasons. If anyone comes across any others please let us know. I'm so stoked to have this number and should be able to find more numbers using this process
re 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
Have one Carousel and two others that are Bevel Bottomed but different size which I presume are Coco cups. Although a different size both styles hold the same amount of liquid, the Coco also have a slight taper to the sides, the Carousel is almost straight. The handles are also a different style.

Re: 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
Thanks Jonno, the Bevelled Bottom jug is shape 6011
and it was the handle shape that stood out to me. So with the description for this jug which was Bevelled Bottom Cream I was able to find the cup above that has the same description ...... and the same handle shape ... this made me extremely happy
There should be more patterns around that use this shaped handle I'm sure.
I think of the Shape 25 - 3019 cup as having a bevelled bottom too, but it has a different shaped handle.

Re: 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
I'm quite taken with this shape at the moment, I've found it in the Decimals and Carousel, but I saw a Pink and Black Fern Motif cup on TM a few weeks back with this handle but it went out of my bidding range :-)

Re: 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
What I described as echo cups have the bevel bottom as well. The bevel is taller than the picture shows.

Re: 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
Those Echo cups are Shape 25's, and they have the shape number 3019.
I don't have a 3012 to compare with the 3019, but all I can see that is different is the handle ......?

D shape handle cups
Hiya Ev
I have 6 cups that I see hanging in the kitchen that have the D shape handle...
Salad Days, Rewa, hazel, olympic, motif, and rigo ;Also the Colour glaze green cup you asked about with the betty cup. If you want any photos let me know
What I have just noticed is... on those tapered base cups, some have a deeper taper than others... Interesting... Janice

Re: 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
Fantastic thanks Jan as I would love to see a photo of the Shape 25 [3019]cup along with the 3012 to compare them. Perhaps with handles showing side on ....? When you get a chance. Cheers Ev

backstamp of green cup
More I look at this green cup, the more convinced I am that it isn't C/L -- The handle is slighly smaller than the other D handles that I have.
I photographed one inside the other and lined them up,,, you can see the green one is different in shape and the underside shows nothing.. I was jipped

Re: 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
Thanks for all of those JanPots and I agree that the green one isn't quite right in regards to the handle shape, but almost is.
Wow I've never seen Hazel before and I love it
This is the comparison that I am after
Am I correct in thinking that the bevel is bigger on the Hazel 3012 cup?
Or is it just the handle shape that is different to the Shape 25 3019 cup?
The angles are slightly different so I can't be sure.......

Re: 3012 Bevel Bottomed Cup
Hiya-- yes the bevel is slightly different , but the D handled cup is not as tall, by 3mm.

And to be quite clear the cup shapes are quite different one has straight sides the other is tapered.
