Re: Interesting Wally Silva auction ...
It could be a Wally Silva number. Just not Crown Lynn.
Manos should know!!! I've just looked at his collection.

Who is Lance Silva who asked the first question? I get the impression he is rather annoyed - could he be related to Wally? if so, surely he would know.

Re: Interesting Wally Silva auction ...
With that name I would say he is related to Wally Silva and I agree that he should know better than anyone. I suggest that what Mr Lynn is saying is from his own observations, as he doesn't quote anyone or anything.
Personally, I don't see this 40 shape as the prototype for the Crown Lynn shape 40, as there are too many variations. e.g. the width, the opening, the size, the weight, the rings, the height ..... just too many differences for me to agree with Mr Lynn!
To me the only similarity is that they are both round.

Re: Interesting Wally Silva auction ...
Lance Silva is indeed Wally's son and has been collecting his dad's pots for years, so I would tend to believe him.
