Helicopter flowers is called April d895
This one is quite pretty and I don't think we have it in the gallery. Maybe a plate would have the name.

Avondale Selection Buttercups?
Awful backstamp on this one but pretty sure it's avondale selection/fine tableware, with (possibly) buttercups and (!!!) just realised these are the same as Glenys's helicopter flowers!
maybe someone could move it into the 'Helicopter flowers topic'

This really looks familiar now that I see the yellow flowers ...... I will have to check out all of the patterns to see if we have it. In the meantime I will replace the saucer with your plate Cat.

Fabulous! I love to see plates that match saucers and cups that match as well. It all makes for 'sets' in my mind. I must have been in primary school when 'sets' were popular in maths! (OMG I think it was my children!)

Well, I finally got in to the red cross shop, and after having my ear talked off by the lady at the counter (whom I know from way back, but she does go on, lol!) I got a photo of the trio, which really does look lovely!

Re: Helicopter flowers is called April d895
I know CL did lots of mix n match. I did it when I bought stuff but I'm sure they always had matching cups and saucers with plates and this is a good example. A lemon colour glaze would have gone well with this set but the original is best.
Thanks Glenys

Re: Helicopter flowers is called April d895
Thanks to Te Toi Uku and Paul Schoones son of Janet Schoones who was a designer at Crown Lynn, we now know that this pattern was designed by Janet Schoones and the original had blue 'helicopter' flowers and yellow flowers.
