6053 jug Empty re 6053 Jug

Post  Jonno Fri 22 Mar - 16:59

Thanks for posting that jug Mumof1 and now I recognise that distinctive Titian marking in script which I have somewhere on a mug, I think.

It is also interesting to see both the shape of the jug which is very similar to a CL6068
that I have and is on the gallery coupled with the very similar glaze colours as can be seen on Mug 1043 where the two lighter glazes of 3 appear to be very close to the 2 used on your jug.

My 6068 measures 86m dia across X 93mm high at the spout, sorry no photo at the moment.

As to whether my .506. vase , which started all this, is Titian or CL maybe we will never know for certain and that is what makes this site and hobby so interesting. Time to get dinner on.
