Lonely mug ... is a 3640

Not sure what this shape number is -



Just the usual Made In New Zealand on the base -

Gosh I finally found the number for this mug today thanks to the Portage Museum.

It is a shape 3640 and the description reads 'A 3038 in porcelain with a 3050 handle.'
First made 10.7.85.

I was certain that it was vitrified.  No idea why I hadn't seen this before as I had been through this  file box before.  It made the trip very worthwhile.  Plus I went to Studio Ceramics to get some treasures before they close.

We've had these before. I don't know where they've been posted, but pleased to see we have a number now. I bought a box of them from Marl on tm (plain glaze like this) a couple years ago and, Ev, I think you have one in hospital dress.

I'm still looking for a suitable vitrified saucer, which would be a vit 4029 or 4042, if such a thing exists. Any idea of a number?

Goodness I didn't even realise that they were the same shape.
I have a slight memory of mugs that you got from Marl that you didn't have a shape number for.
There is very little in the way of new shapes being added to the Galleries and today we have the 450 vase from Anne and this Four Digit mug !!
