Val's latest blog post is about the Syrem backstamped patterns. Extremely interesting seeing the patterns and backstamps all together like that.
Aha! So I must be a 'swotty geek'

Re: Valerie Monk's Crown Lynn Blog ...
Hi Ev, lovely to see a link to the launch info on this site. Yes it's true.... the Women's Bookshop has asked me to send out a general invitation to Crown Lynn collectors and enthusiasts. So do come if you are able. They have asked for a swan for the window display so I have to do some digging. It's in a BOX somewhere. I can't find it after our shift which is a bit tragic. xxx

Re: Valerie Monk's Crown Lynn Blog ...
Thought I had recalled seeing Myers in the Decoration Advices and took a look.
How wonderful to find that Florida Pat.No. 957 was made for Myers in around 1965!!
Ivy Leaf Pat.No. 979 is listed as a J. Myers Ltd Exclusive around 1967!

Check out Val Monk's latest blog post "In Memory of Ray and Eileen Machin."
It is a real tribute to the decorating skills that Eileen had and to see which designs were done by her is very exciting. Gosh I really admire those artistic skills!!

Re: Valerie Monk's Crown Lynn Blog ...
I had a look at the blog, thanks Ev, and now know that the piece I found recently is from the Ellerslie hotel. I love Ponui too and have several pieces of that My daughter has a dinner set of Echo. My first dinner set was Apollo, which I gave away, but have recently managed to replicate, with the exception of a couple of pieces, namely the covered butter dish and the covered sugar bowl. I would love to see this exhibition but in the middle of packing at the moment! (Sigh)
