Yes Ev, I have a few pieces of his pottery and the colours are so subtle. The green one in your picture would be the brightest coloured piece I have seen. Most of the pieces I have seen have a different colour on the inside. Incidentally, his name is Oswald Counsell Stephens. As an aside, my late uncle told me that O C Stephens was one of his teachers at high school in Dunedin many years ago, so he would have taught my mother as well most likely.

I couldn't capture the soft green colour ... it came out much brighter!

O.C. Stephens was a mentor to the Studio Pottery movement in the early days and was an organiser of the first exhibition for the NZ Potters Society

Jeremy it seems that every picture that I've posted up until 2012 doesn't show anymore! Perhaps I post too many pics?
