This has to be a Paul Wotherspoon dish ....?
Such a lovely attractive dish it is too and from what I've seen of Paul's work it has to be his surely?
The mark is hard to make out and very difficult to photograph, so I need some confirmation here please

I see a P with a very faint W extending from the leg of the P, looks to be all on the same angles as the Paul Wotherspoon marks found by google.
I love the glaze

I think the glaze is wonderful, with those stoneware colours swirling across the dish. It has been made using a press mould and I have been using it to make some now too
Thanks as I agree with you that it's a mark match too.

I've spotted this auction on TradeMe http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/other-nz-manufacturers/auction-603244044.htm which is so so similar to my dish, but credited to Gwyn Williams - with a different mark to the one on my dish, then also have found this vase: http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/other-nz-manufacturers/auction-603401991.htm listed as Paul Wotherspoon, with the same mark as the one credited to gywn willams in the other listing.

So that mark is one of Paul's then? I wasn't totally sure, but have put a question in, outlining what I think and why.

So which one is actually correct? Is there some connection between paul wotherspoon and gwyn williams?

Re: This has to be a Paul Wotherspoon dish ....?
It's definitely a Paul Wotherspoon dish. The glazing decoration tells me that.
If you compare Paul's mark to Gwyn's there are discernible differences.
Note that they say they 'assume' it was made by Gwyn Williams and have a question mark in the title .......
NZSP don't have this mark so I'm happy to see it.

:affraid:Holy cow! The Bidding really took off on the Paul Wotherspoon dish - went for $63.50!
I wonder whether I should sell mine! Mine's not as big mind you, only about 20-25cm long....

Re: This has to be a Paul Wotherspoon dish ....?
I saw that and wondered why? A bidding war perhaps? There are some very strange things going on over at TM at the moment and it's not even a full moon !
Re: This has to be a Paul Wotherspoon dish ....?
It most certainly was a bidding war! It was almost as exciting as watching one of my own auctions take off lol. Seriously considering selling my one, (money is tight as usual!) but I'm really quite fond of it and hadn't been planning on selling.
