Re: Andrew van der Putten
I have a large piece with the exact same markings on it - now of course, I am curious to know if it did turn out to be Andrew Van der Putten so I can cross one more "unknown" off my list!
So if someone could confirm, please let me know.
Thanks!

Re: Andrew van der Putten
Having had a look at the two pieces of Andrews' that I have one a Tea/Coffee Pot with a circle around a cross and the other an AP logo on a large decorative vase and checking some other examples in the Andrew van der Putten Asite on the gallery I don't think this bowl is one of his.
Ignoring the variation of the mark with dots between the cross lines the first mark shown is not the same as Andrews' which clearly has one of the bars not quite square and this anomaly is consistent on all the examples on this site.
As I know that my Tea/Coffee pot is about 30 years old and that the other piece I have which is a large decorative jug is only about 10 years old I guess that he changed his mark sometime after 1980.

Re: Andrew van der Putten
When you say one of the bars is not quite square, I think I know what you mean. I have noticed that on the item I have, the mark is not as "tidy" and straight as the one pictured, there's definitely a slight curve or kink to one of the lines. The lines are not as thick either. Alas, until I can borrow a camera, I can't post a pic for comment.

Could be Steve Fullmer?
Spotted (elsewhere) a mark attributed to Steve Fullmer that looks almost the same as Van der Putten's but much more square like the pictured piece. Might be worth checking this mark out.

Steve Fullmer mark
Here is Steve's mark, which I am embarrased to say, is not in the gallery, as I have never sent it, so will add it now for future reference. It is in a diamond, so not easily confused with Andrew van der Putten. Hope that helps

Re: Andrew van der Putten
Thanks for going to that trouble.
Pretty sure my item is Van der Putten. The mark I saw attributed to Steve Fullmer didn't show the diamond outer of the mark so good to have that cleared up for anyone else who needs the info.
I have a few other bits I need identified so no doubt I'll start a thread when I get the camera sorted.
