I bought this piece at a collectables fair and the seller said it might be Crown Lynn:

The clay body looks white and the glaze cream, the marks are an impressed "7" and "2" and a handwritten "A" possibly for Jack Aberly?:

Well it looks like it could be Shufflefella for Crown Lynn ..... or Keith Murray?

Here's another very similar one alongside it:
Possibly a Shufflebottom design? 00510

with a sticker:
Possibly a Shufflebottom design? 00611
and the same marks on the base:
Possibly a Shufflebottom design? 00711

So it's a Webco product.

No - google suggests that both Japanese and West German manfacturers used the name but I haven't found anything yet with an Australian connection.

PS I got in touch with the people who run the National Museum of Australian Pottery www.australianpottery.net.au and they said they'd not heard of Webco as an Australian pottery. Their sugestion was that it was overseas. No sign then that it's Australasian.
