possible shape 143
Have two of these dishes numbered 143.
They have no back stamp but numbers are same style as on Wentworth pieces.
Have added a Wentworth piece with back stamp for comparison.

Re: possible shape 143
Gosh where do you find these wonderful old pieces sid?
I have to agree with you that the number is of the same script as the 146 and 147, which are the only numbered Wentworth Ware that I can find.
Also the rectangular surround is the same on all three pieces.
The blue dish with the gold rim looks very Crown Lynnish to me.
Hope to get some feedback from other members too.

Re: possible shape 143
Hon-john has let me know that he has a couple of these plates.
They have 3 Lamps Ponsonby printed on them.
His camera isn't going at the moment, but he will send pics when he can.
He is sure that these are Wentworth Ware.
I have put the 143 shape into the Shapes Gallery

Thanks Eve. Good to get another shape in the gallery.
Started collecting pottery about 5 years ago when the Marks of New Zealand Potters book came
out. Just ticking off the names in the book as I found different pieces.Picked up pieces of
Crown Lynn as I went around the markets and Op shops looking for Studio pieces. Have started sorting out a few more boxes from the early days of gathering.Sure there's a few more treasures not
seen for a number of years to be posted in the future.

Re: possible shape 143
A great challenge it would be to undertake to find a piece from each potter in the Marks book !! Wooooo there are at least 1500 marks .... I hadn't thought of doing that .... I would only have a hundred plus I reckon
