They look like the Olive and Arthur Rhodes hand made ware from the 1950's.
Don't know much about them, but would like to know more.

They do look similar don't they! Mine don't have the depth of colour though. I thought you might like to put them in the un-numbered gallery, to help those searching for the terracotta look, as until I bought these I was unaware that CL made such things.

Re: 2 Steenstra Brick & Pipe clay Coloured Vases - Tiki stamp
After having done a bit of research regarding Steenstra today, I would put the Rhodes pieces in the same category.
Hand made wheel pieces of very high quality from the 1950's era.
I've only ever seen terrocotta clay used by Rhodes and wonder if it is the New Lynn clay. Though Marcus's piece is a rich red clay, many pieces are very pale.
I have an ashtray in this clay and it is an insipid colour, I can tell that it was handmade as the base is 'turned'.
Measuring sticks would have been used to reproduce shapes in the same style and size.
Also I noticed that the Rhodes and Steenstra pieces reached around the same prices at Jim Drummond's auction at Art and Object a few years ago.
So personally I think your Rhodes beauty should go into the Crown Lynn Artists and Craftsmen section.
I would really like more info about Rhodes as the info available is rather sketchy.
