I don't know really, there were only the cups and saucers there so it is possible that the plates would be patterned. It is pale lavender and pale aqua sort of colour.

Laguna is not patterned, the plates are also plain the same as the cups and saucers. Brocade on the other hand is patterned.

Yes they are all matte glaze, the only gloss glaze in the entire Dorothy Thorpe range is the Santa Barbara in the pink and gold colourway.

All of Marl's photos are of Billy Apple's Dorothy Thorpe collection that was on display at the Crown Lynn for the People Exhibition at the Gus Fisher Gallery in 2012.
Billy Apple passed away yesterday and these photos are a great tribute to him.
