Thanks Jonno. I love the orange and brown patterns, unfortunately not a lot of them seem to be named! Cheers, marl

They are gorgeous Marl! Love the second photo (orange saucer), it's so pretty.
I have that saucer in photo 5 as well...lovely to see the trio. Yay.

There are ladybugs on the cup and saucer on No 5, but not on the side plate .... ?
The ladybugs are so cute

Re: Some more no name patterns for gallery - include Castella and Sunrise Rust ~
I hadn't noticed them! just had a good look at the cup and saucer and to me the "ladybugs" look more like flowers with long stamens coming out of them! However ladybugs is much cuter. Cheers, marl

The first photo definitely has a Brown Bora Bora look about it doesn't it?
Re: Some more no name patterns for gallery - include Castella and Sunrise Rust ~
I knew it looked familiar and yes it is the same as Bora Bora in brown, well done Ev.

I've made a Crown Lynn Tableware with No Names topic which is near the top of the Tableware category, so that we will have some chance of finding them when they get identified, as there are too many pages of patterns to trawl through to find them now..... and the No Namers just keep on coming
Will move posts with No Namers into there for safe keeping for future reference.

Excellent idea Ev. There seems to be a huge number of no names. I have noticed that very often it is the Kelston pieces that are not named and then there is the myriad of "Genuine Ironstone" pieces. They must have run out of ideas! cheers, marl

I believe that all of the patterns have designated names Marl. Except perhaps for the trial pieces that is, but even they would have had to have records that identified them ......! I think I read that the patterns without backstamps went to the Seconds Shops ... must check that memory, as it could have been the Genuine Ironstone backstamped ones ... hmmmm?
Edits: Found the reference in Val Monk's book - Surplus stock was decorated using old lithos, glazed and were not backstamped, these were sold at the Seconds Shops.
Also a reference to Trial Runs of 100 for promising designs ....

Ok found a couple of these patterns today at the Museum
Though as the pics were photocopied there was no colour to match them with, but the designs were the same:
The violets one is Violetta d245
The last one with orange 'petals all over it is Sunrise Rust d342
I will happily alter the Gallery images and add these names to the title

Ladybird retro flowers cup saucer and plate ..... *swoons*
A tealy-blue colourglaze apollo saucer with a name that I can't make out - but photo will be able to
Blossom .... not sure if we have that pattern ... oh well
Unusual no-name pattern that I saw on ebay today, but this one is yellow and has a chip ..... for goodness sakes it will photograph perfectly!
etc etc etc .... 11 pieces in all and I was in Crown Lynn Heaven .... yes it's an addiction of some sort that I can't shake atm

Fav opshop hasn't had any boxes to rake thru since they went up market sometime last year and Crown Lynn is noticably expensive now
But I found heaps today ... colour glaze shape 25 cups ... b&b's ... could have got a lot more eg: white apollo and patterns that we already have, but I resisted lmaooooo

Re: Some more no name patterns for gallery - include Castella and Sunrise Rust ~
I think that you are 100% correct!
Violetta is on a Clover background and has Rusticanna cups that match .... which put me on the wrong pottery path. I've since learnt that Rusticanna is a very dark brown colour!
Castella has Tan as a pattern colour on a Low Sol background [white] and Rust cups that match and this pattern is exactly like that description.
Thank you Janice
I will correct my mistake.
