No, I have had in the past but didn't photograph it. Your number is right I am sure, you know how hard it is to read backstamps sometimes.cheers, marl

Yes I absolutely agree that some are almost impossible to make out correctly.
I will have to change the number in the Gallery after work today ...
and put back the number that was in the Database too
I will keep an eye out for a listing with a backstamp just to make sure now.
Though this is one pattern that you rarely see listed!

Re: Country Chapel (Brown) d572 and Country Chapel Brown d296
Found several auctions for d296 =
http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/crown-lynn/plates-platters/auction-624900763.htm
All I can think of is that these patterns are on different shaped plates ....
e.g. rimmed or the shallow coupe shape....?
The Database is interesting as it shows these listings for Country Chapel -
Country Chapel Brown 296
Country Chapel Blue 298
Country Chapel Pink 311
Country Chapel Brown 572
Country Chapel Green 573
Country Chapel Blue 574
So I will leave the Gallery listing as it is for now and edit Marl's post to match the Database which I meant to do ages ago.

Thanks for that lizsmithnz
Can you please tell me what shape the plate is please?
For example, Coupe that has the shallow curve shape or Rimmed.

Hi Ev. My photos should have been accompanied by some comments but they don't seem to have made it to this forum... I saw this set of six dinner plates today at the Mercy Hospice shop in Ellerslie. I don't think they are rimmed...? i'm not sure what you mean. I was interested in them because I'm selling three coupe plates in this pattern on Trademe. However they don't have the name or number on the backstamp, so it was good to have this confirmation of what they are. I had previously tried to find the pattern on this webpage without any luck.

The 6 dinner plates I saw in the Ellerslie op-shop have this same shape. Only difference is that the design is brown, not pink.
