This is on at Lopdell House Gallery Titirangi 14th October - 4th December.
Janet Mansfield was the selector this year and she did a great job!
The premier award of $15,000 went to Bridie Henderson for her work Feathers.
These were three back lit framed boxes featuring ceramic feathers that looked like big necklaces and were beautifully crafted and displayed.
Chris Weaver won the Second Prize Award with his Made to Measure Teapots ... just delightful!
I was thrilled to see that Suzy Dunser had her work selected and that both pieces had sold!
John Parker's three slipcast pieces that had FAKE written on them was so cheeky I laughed out loud Smile
The work that intrigued me the most and kept drawing me back was by Merit Award winner Kirsty Gardiner ARTEFACT that had multiple deceased Huia all lined up and forgive me but they looked so real I thought they would still be warm. Captivating!!!
Another great show at the countrys most premier ceramic exhibition.
I'm hoping to find a link with photos at some stage that I can add.
