Hospital Feeding cup shape 415
One is listed on Trademe -
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=410445091
The Museum drawing
Here is the one that we have in the Gallery:
The drawing is quite crude, but looks more like the one on Trademe, than the one in the Gallery to me.
Not sure what the v after the number represents?
I need 2 more Admins to look at this please

Re: Hospital Feeding cup shape 415
i agree that the sketch matches the TM auction. however there is obviously more than one shape to the invalid feeder. my one is a 1613. so maybe there is room for more than one in the shape gallery.

Thanks Admin narna
Heather's Museum notes may shed some light on the matter ......
also regarding the new four digit numbers as yours have too.
We have to lure her back to visit methinks!

1613 is a "new Hospital Feeder Mug which is castware vitrified. No other number and made in 1964.
The V symbol may relate to Titian - didnt they have some sort of system which related to the type of product? (Vase, Vessel)

Re: Hospital Feeding cup shape 415
Thank you Admin Heather
Your help is always appreciated....
Titian used a capital V before the number for vases.
I still think that the small v after the number would be to show that it was vitirified.

Re: Hospital Feeding cup shape 415
They are the same shape, no idea why some have handles and some not. I did see the other day where chamber pots were made without handles for the mentally ill.
No idea why ..... ?

Re: Hospital Feeding cup shape 415
I have a 415 - with the handle and the 2 red stripes. Vitrified
Its the same shape as the TM listing and Kat's 415 - maybe Kat's 'potter' never got around to putting the handle on? just a though - Is the modelers drawing with or without a handle?

Here is the Museum drawing and it has a handle.
As you have one with a handle Janice I think it should be put into the Gallery and also added to this topic. It's good to know that they were also made without a handle too thank you Kat.
