Could the striped Forma saucer be Sahara? The pattern that compliments Radiance ...
I'm not sure as the band looks very dark compared to this listing - .... help!

I noticed your listing Jonno, but didn't look at who the trader was .....
So are you saying that one of those side plates with the brown band has the pattern name Granada on it? I don't think we have that pattern and I'm not sure it's in the Database either !

You are amazing Ev. I was so busy posting pieces on TM that I forgot to check the gallery
Here are the photos only have a composite of the side plates which are on top of the Forma dinner plate but happy to send a single shot if you would like one.

Oops we do have Granada in the Gallery ..... it has a double brown ring.
It's the single brown ring that I'm looking for .......
It's called Sahara, but I don't have a number for it. I would be grateful for a pic Jonno.

I'm brave enough to name the gold with the dark brown band Sahara, even though I don't have a number for this.
Also the Speckled Colour Glaze matches the saucers on Rosetta d370 [Apollo]

Sorry to have taken so long but here are photos of my single ring entree plate
200mm dia. and the backstamp Forma but no number. I have others that match but with the Frisco pattern inside the ring. So can we stick with Sahara as a name?

All is not lost as when I was looking for other patterns in my notes today I found the name of the Colour Glaze warm speckled glaze at the top of this post.
It's Clover d032 and it's used extensively as the base glaze on many patterns, eg, Herald, Rosetta, Savoy, Orchard, Honeycomb, Honeyflower, Garland, Roseland to name a few, so that you know what I'm talking about here
I am stoked to have this one sorted

I wondered if this brown forma cup with the gold inside, went with Sahara ? Guess it could be any of those forma Brown/gold patterns --

Crown Lynn Forma
This is the design that's mustard with a single brown ring. "It Has Crown Lynn Forma written on the back, is identified on this site as being Sahara" I have the dinner set with matching tea set. Have had it since the seventies & still in as new condition. I am on the hunt for a entree plate as I have had one breakage in all those years & need to replace. Must be in good condition. Cheers.

Hi Jan
Yes, your brown cup with the gold on the inside belongs to the Forma collection. It's the same as I have & I bought my dinner set new in the 70s. "They Have it named as Sahara on this site."

Jonno Do you have an entrée plate, the size between the side plate & the dinner Plate in the striped forma? That is the design with only one brown stripe. I'd be interested in it if you do.Jonno wrote:You are amazing Ev. I was so busy posting pieces on TM that I forgot to check the gallery

Eve. I have this dinner set with the single brown ring Though it is Crown Lynn It's called Forma & there are no numbers on any of my pieces. I have the full dinner & tea set. It's identified as being Sahara on this site, Just realised Forma could be the style. Hope this helps.

Hi Jan. I only need one Entrée plate. It measures 20cm from side to side on the top of the plate. Has to be in good condition. No crazing or knife wounds on the plate to blend in with the other pieces. There were no oval plates with this dinner set.JanPots wrote:Hi.. On the back of the pieces it states Crown Lynn Forma, but looking through the site I see it's identifying name is Sahara.

Welcome to the site mayia. Yes you are right, the shape is forma. I got the pattern name for this pattern from an old crown Lynn advert but it didn't mention the number.
Crown Lynn Forma
Ev . Had another look at my dinner set. There are no numbers on any of the pieces & I've had the set for almost 40 years. Was bought new. The set is still in new condition missing just one salad plate. Is it possible that this set was put out without being numbered?

Yes it is possible, as there is a lot of Forma dinnerware around that just has the Forma backstamp.
