I think that design is very cool !!
A cup or mug was listed on TradeMe recently with that design and they called it Bellamys ....?
Anyway with that number and Made In New Zealand on the base it should be a Titian for Crown Lynn piece. Marl474 put a photo of one on here recently for the Titian for Crown Lynn Gallery. I will merge your post into her topic DaSiEm

Another 1280 soup bowl Earthstone

The backstamp does say 'Earthstone' It looks like the Titian mold has been used and an Earthstone glaze. Sorry about the awful photo but the backstamp does say Crown Lynn and Made in New Zealand

Our NZ Auction site Trade Me often has them under Crown Lynn Soup Mugs.
