Excellent Ev - I think Jim Drummond told Heather that he estimated that there were about 40,000 different Crown Lynn shapes so be prepared for a big gallery.

Re: A Crown Lynn Shapes with Four Digits Gallery .....
Jim Drummond from a North & South magazine article -
"He says if you wanted one of everything you'd end up with 20,000 pieces!"
So that cuts it in half already
Jim goes on to say that he had collected around 5,000 pieces of Crown Lynn ....
I wonder if that included Tableware patterns ..... ?
Maybe Manos would know or could ask what the 20,000 pieces consisted of ....?

I wonder also if Jim's estimate is of shapes because if you add in surface decoration and backstamps you're suddenly adding multiples to many of the dinnerware or tableware shapes.
It may go down as one of the great Crown Lynn mysteries.

Re: A Crown Lynn Shapes with Four Digits Gallery .....
There are photos of pieces all over the site, so I will use any pics that have a number.
Of course there is a rather large grey area as to what Crown Lynn made at New Lynn and what was made at Titian Potteries after they took it over ....... will just have to use what info is available I guess.
If anyone has any photos of Crown Lynn/Titian pieces that have a number on the base, please post them in this topic - Thanks Ev
Made In New Zealand stamped around the base and a number was used on these tablewares.
Honey glaze ware would have to be CL/Titian for sure ......
I will have to get my camera out when I get a chance as I have many of those mugs lurking in the back of cupboards

So many of the pics on the site don't have numbers ......
and I have many pieces where the glaze covers the numbers so much that I can't read them

Some info that I just came across from the Museum notes show that Titian started making four digit vases around 1970 .... so prior to that from 1964/5 they would have been made at New Lynn. I enjoy finding stuff that I'm not looking for, but by chance come across
