Hereford Bone China Empty Hereford Bone China

Hello there

I've joined this forum as I was Googling information about Hereford Bone China, the figurine creators just outside Hamilton (could now be in Cambridge, but I have no contact details). I read posts on this forum that there was interest in these figurines.

In 1987, I purchased a limited edition Palamino horse. I still have the receipt and limited edition certificate (it was no. 16 from 250 firings) signed by Rick Lewis.

Would anyone from this forum have any idea of its value now?

Sadly, I am considering selling it, as I am putting myself for a year course at Unitech and I need it for living expenses. Having said that, I would not part with it for less than what I paid all those years back.

Would anyone actually be interested in purchasing it for their own collection? I was wondering whether to put it on TradeMe or Ebay, but it may not target the correct clientelle, as much as this forum would.

I look forward to your feedback in due course.

Kind regards

Rachel Butler

Welcome to the Forum Rachel Smile
I have moved your post to the Hereford Fine China topic.
If you read down the other post re Hereford you will find that cassandra was interested in getting hold of some pieces. You could Private Message [PM] her to see if she is interested.
TradeMe would be an excellent option to list it for auction, as there are some serious collectors on there.
I did a google search for Hereford+trademe and not many auctions came up, all but one reached the reserve, which is very promising. Some pieces were listed under Antiques and Collectables and others were listed under Animals [Pottery and Glass] another was listed under Other Manufacturers. If you do list on TradeMe I would suggest that you set your start price at no less than what you want to sell for.
Good luck - Ev

Thank you very much Ev, your advice and assistance. It is much appreciated. I have private emailed Cassandra and we will see what comes of it. Otherwise, yes, TradeMe might be the next best option. I had a look at the 'thread' of discussion and did not see my email included. Being new to the site, I am still finding my way around.

Kind regards.

Rachel
