Re: Gone Fishing with Titian - from the collection of doll-finz.
Are there any maker-markings on the two marlin doll-finz?
Re: Gone Fishing with Titian - from the collection of doll-finz.
The smaller of the two marlins is marked F.140 Titian Studios. The larger one is unmarked but guaranteed Titian, it was bought in auction from the collection of a very well known Auckland collector/dealer.

Re: Gone Fishing with Titian - from the collection of doll-finz.
doll-finz the trout ashtray was not made by Titian.
I will remove it from the Titian Gallery and from this post.
It is believed to be Japanese.
Gail Henry has attributed it as Titian Studio in her book New Zealand Commercial Pottery, but apparently that is not correct.
I only found out about this just now.
Sorry about that.

Re: Gone Fishing with Titian - from the collection of doll-finz.
It has been 10 years since these have been posted and the first two Marlin photos appear not to have been made by Titian.
I have removed the photo from the Titian Gallery and will also remove the first two photos from this topic.
