bulldog Temuka L L mark and Roland Grupp Bulldogs

I have had this in my cabinet for years, I am puzzled by the clay used, which is not the usual white. Any comments would be welcome as to where it was made and by whom.

I have a bulldog with that same Temuka marking but not LL.  Mine has a stamp for Village Pottery Spring Creek with RKG in the centre.  I bought it many years ago from Roland Grupp, the maker, at his place.

Oh my goodness, this is the first piece I've seen with that stamp!
I've heard all of the stories about Roland making reproductions, but had never seen anything to corroborate the stories.

Golly! That is the first bulldog I have seen for ages. There are several differences in them both but it does look as though the same mould may have been used.
