Hi there!
Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong area etc - I am new here, and very new to pottery as well.

I came across two tools in a box-lot at an auction. I've dated them to pre-1926 but couldn't identify what they were for. My uncle and mother (in their 70s/80s) are both sure they're pottery knives. However, I've googled myself to death and can't seem to find anything that looks like them at all.

Is anyone able to help? Even if it's just a no, at least it helps me figure this out. I'm very intrigued by them, they've obviously been kept for a reason and I'd like to honour that if I can.

One is also engraved with AWH - I'm not sure it's at all relevant, but thought I'd mention just in case.

Hopefully this works and apologies if it doesn't!

Thank you in advance!

Hi and welcome to the site Smile

Perhaps they are spear heads?

I've never heard of pottery being engraved, so this might help you with your quest.

Are they made of glass?

No help sorry, but good luck.

Thanks you for replying - any help is good help!! No to the glass question, one has a wood handle, one has a bakelite/early plastic one.
