Ads have been removed from the site !!
Due to problems from people trying to join the site and being bombarded by adverts that seem to be part of the site and get clicked on and then they are asked for credit card details, I've paid for the ads to be removed.
This has happened too many times and makes me very cross as there is nothing to buy on the site. Luckily I was alerted on Facebook the other day of two more incidents along the same lines.
This happens mostly when people are using mobile phones to access the site and wasn't much of a problem when we first started the site as only around 12% used mobiles phones. However now over 60% are using mobile phones and that is increasing every day.
Also over the years there have been many adverts reported for being obscene and unseemly and thank goodness that won't happen any more, as I accidently stumbled across one on my phone once and I can never unsee what I saw
Also mobile phones should be set to web version or desktop site by using the option from the three bars or three dots at the top right on your phone if you want to navigate the site easily.
It costs $90 to remove ads from the site and thanks to some generous members, this has been taken care of for the next year
Many thanks and I hope you enjoy the site even more without ads
