Kay and Tom Jones ran Putaruru Hand Ceramics.
It has taken a long time to find out anything at all about these people.
Word has it that they left Putaruru and moved to Omokoroa and then Tom passed away and Kay carried on making pottery, but was very careful to smash anything that wasn't perfect.
Many thanks to Mon for sharing this info.
I have found a Greenware place in Te Puke that has some Kay and Tom Jones pieces listed, so have contacted them to see what they can tell me.
