I thought of you re flooding last time. How did you fare?
We had a flood that lasted 6 days, but it never came under the fence, just up to it.

Not too bad, our duck pond overflowed and created a waterfall and trenched out a path through the gravel ( which we left) as its bound to happen again. That was the extent of flooding.
We had a huge eel sliding along the gravel. So we netted him and popped him in the creek across the road .
Since the council cleared the culvert we dont get the "waist high" flooded paddock anymore. Then it would back up and flood the road.

Take care down there Janice!
It was a wild night and I listened to the radio for most of it.
Our creek is racing and it won't take much more rain for it to flood again.
We were lucky not to lose power.

I just checked the rest of the country on the news. Its insane the amount of water / damage etc.
Its going to take weeks to get back to some normality.
Did anyone see the photos in Napier.? I couldnt believe what i was seeing, water was upto the soffit on the houses. Our little puddle was nothing!!!
