Bottle Vase with Leaf & Maori Motif Bottle 250mm
I was so lucky to get this off Trade Me some time ago, as I recognised it from the Modelers Drawings.
There is a glazed one on newzealandpottery.
I will now add it to the No Numbers Gallery as it must not have gone into production and not been given a number.
It is stunning, but it isn't glazed just bisqued
Being a Crown Lynn Researcher has some wonderful perks

Pottery talks to me and I'm glad it does
Thanks to the big Flora and Fauna Plaque [thanks Kate and Dayle]
I finally know who designed this Crown Lynn Bottle
I have asked Bruce Yallop, who designed this beauty and checked with the Hargreaves family to see if there was anything like it in Harry Hargreaves records, but there was nothing the same, however they did claim it as his work.
The bottle said taihoa, just wait and you will get the right answer.
Today I got the answer and I'm thrilled to find that David Jenkin designed it [Susan Carmont]
There are at least 4 similarities to the Flora and Fauna plaque that was designed by David Jenkin in 1969 "To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Crown Lynn Potteries, New Zealand" and this seemed to coincide with the opening of Ceramco House and the Trade Promotion Council's export award !!
Check out the comparison photos and dance with me
The Taiaha, the Maori Spiral Carving, the Puawhananga/Clematis, and the Manuka/Tea Tree.
