Christopher Vine and Temuka history
I've been in contact with Christopher Vine and here is what he replied :
Christopher Vine came over to Temuka Potteries to teach the patterns to the hand painters. He doesn't know how many designs there were, but there were over 20.
He will have to research dates for us. Fantastic !!
We only have 5 designs on newzealandpottery, but there are another three that have Made in Australia on them, so I have asked if they were also made at Temuka.
From the Temuka Pottery website 1995:
Temuka Pottery begins making pottery under license for Christopher Vine Design (Australia) Christopher Vine pottery is exported to Australia, and later sold domestically.
