This appears to be a studio potter's work that they made while living at Temuka.
There was at least one studio potter who make domestic ware for Temuka Potteries and I can only think of Carl Vendelbosch.
This is rather early with the date of 1959, but I'm sure that there will be a paper trail that would reveal who this was.
