Re: 2045 handled bowl with blue glaze?
Hi there, I have one of these vases too and it doesn't have a number and isn't stamped. I also have a Nautilus vase with the same finish.
The Crown Lynn vases usually have a number and a Crown Lynn stamp, so this makes me wonder if someone else made these, perhaps after Crown Lynn closed. I also noted that the base is a bit different to Crown Lynn 2045 that I have seen.
Crown Lynn originally made this as Shape 364 and when they changed to Four Digits in 1964 this shape was given the number of 2045 and both shapes will have the number on the base.
Sometimes these lustred vases have numbers, but never a Crown Lynn stamp.
There are around 10 Crown Lynn vase shapes that have this fabulous lustre finish and these are all very popular. Mostly because people believe that they are Crown Lynn, however Crown Lynn didn't really use lustres to any extent.
This is a puzzle the needs sorting out.

Interesting! I didn't have time to research it in the shop, and it was $8 so I wasn't too worried if it wasn't Crown Lynn. Seems like the shape is similar, and the glaze is used on other shapes - but who knows! A bit of a mystery really.
