Television in NZ will be celebrating 50 years of broadcasting in June 2010!
Showing my age now, but I remember going to a friends house to watch TV - probably in 1960 for the first time as Princess Margaret's wedding was on!
The screen was very snowy and had lines running through it .... but it was fantastic
What are your first TV memories?

Watched a bit of Heartland channel last night....
enjoyed the Taupo doco ..... gosh we spoke like pommies in the 60's !!
They ran the news footage on the Wahine tradgedy ..... and it was just as unbelievable seeing it for the second time!
Then an interview with Ray Colombus was on for about half an hour .... oh my goodness did it make me feel old looking at him! Had to change channels as it was too long and depressing .... enjoyed the few short music clips throughout the interview.... there should have been more.
