Peter Lowry from Jeremy

Looking forward to it Val.

In the meantime, here's another.

Thanks Val and Ev for correctly identifying the potter as Peter Lowry.
It is so so like the work from Beach that Lowry must have been very skilled.
I have moved these pieces through to the kitchen cill and added another that was sitting round, a spoons jar, but it is too dark now to re-photo.

I'll see if I have a tokens jar to match as well.

I must have a few others somewhere.

The piped writing that appears to be a Lowry trademark appears on pieces in other glazes too. I did have some difficulty reconciling the white and brown with Peter Beach as it is a bit dull and now I know why.

Nothing wrong with this green and brown though. It's beautiful.

I found these lovely cups today at Sallies. Just bought the one. There are different sized bases and tops but otherwise they don't appear to be handpotted.

about 3 inches across and 2 1/4 high

You can see what I paid. I would have had the lot but there's just no room.
Still plenty for someone else to have a good set.

cheese keep: Peter Lowry ??

From what I've read the piped lettering indicates that this one is Peter Lowry.

actual diameters: lid 17cm; plate 22

The lid appears to be turned, but I really can't tell how the plate was made, whether cast, jiggered, or turned. The plate has a footring.

Very odd to see a plate from Lowry or Beach (or Kiln Craft, Clay Craft or Parker for that matter).
