A Beach NZ pot has been listed on Trade Me
Not sure that it has been made by Daniel Steenstra, but it looks like it has been hand thrown ...

Re: A Beach NZ pot has been listed on Trade Me
Ev, I left a comment adding that it might be slip. If you look at the pics you'll know the reasons: footring, white clay, impressed mark.
Karen has left a good reply.

I would say that it was made by the same person as this one, because it has a similar shallow footring ...

Re: A Beach NZ pot has been listed on Trade Me
Ev, I'm curious about the one on the forum.
One photo shows the base from inside. Looking at the meeting of base and upright, the join is very clean and crisp, the base domed upward as it is on the outside. Is that not an indication of slipcasting?
Comparing the two, the tm has an inscribed/impressed mark like the slip Beach (but of course it could have been individually marked). The one on the forum has marks impressed from what looks like individual letter stamps, or possibly three separate stamps.
You remarked on the forum one about your surprise at the white clay (which we usually see on the slipware, where the handpotted ones are usually either the yellow clay or the terracotta.
These ones really caught my attention but I think at the time I decided this was not the direction my collecting was going.

This one from the same seller not so interesting.

I guess a big point of difference with the current listing is that it actually is marked Beach.

The stamped Beach pieces are the only certainties and have an important story to tell.
