These were all part of a private collection, sold as Titian. Does anyone have any thoughts to confirm or deny this please?

This vase has a clean pale blue base and bowl with a sponged effect on the flare of the vase.

it is marked Titian and V.110, but I have never seen this type of effect before.

Next is this lovely little lady, who looks familiar for some reason

Then there is this Egyptian styled vase, in the shape of B.102

Again, the base is unmarked. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The blue vase shape is very familiar, but I will have to check it out.  Titian used many different techniques with their glazes, so I wouldn't be put off by one that I hadn't seen before.
The lovely lass .... is she in Gail Henry's book?
The Egyptian vase looks like the Aquila range ...... doesn't it?
They all look Titian/Aquila/Orzel to me at first glance.

*coughs* Sorry but I'm not an expert at enyfink ....

The lovely blue vase is definitely Titan Studios. Exactly the same markings as the gold lustre vase featured in Gail Henry's NZ pottery book. The mark underneath is V.110.

The crinoline lady looks a bit like the work of a lady who lived in Wanganui. Can't remember her name at this point. Her work was sometimes marked Studio ??????

The only one I have a question over is the lady. I have a similar glaze finish vase on the same shape - mottled finish springs to mind but I don't have my info where I am at present. The Lady could be Aquila as they released a version of the earlier range. I will look into this one. The mottled ( I hope) glaze looks better in the blue. My one has a greener blue base.

I have 2 versions of Gail Henry's book, the older one titled Pottery in New Zealand, Commercial & Collectable, by Gail Lambert. On page 118, is the sweet little lady pictured above, and she is made by Spartan Products, at the same time as the Father Christmas was made, 1944-46. It says she is unmarked, and hand decorated in shades of green and cream. This one is green and pink, so a version or a copy? The piece I viewed did not really look 70 years old, so was either very well cared for, or???
The Egyptian vase is pictured in the later version, but with a different Egyptian pattern, more like the spray effect pattern on this listing that Ev showed us http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/crown-lynn/other/auction-755399831.htm

I purchased the green Crinoline Lady and have now found another one in yellow.

It has some interesting writing and B 2016 or B 20'6 or B 206 on the base. There is a possible B206 in the gallery that is Titian and had the sticker with the number on the base. Could this be connected?

I think the green one has the original price in pencil on the base.

Does anyone know what the writing might be and what the number might stand for?

There are Spartan Crinoline Lady's that look the same and I was wondering if these two could be made by Titian because of the glaze.

I have got a Titian fantail vase with the same kind of yellow/black glaze.

Some Titian mysteries for the experts ! Empty Titian coffee jug, sugar bowl, milk jug and 4 cups in original packaging

Post  RaisedByCats Wed 10 Feb - 12:14

Hi,

I picked this set up recently and it had never been opened, original box with no barcode.

Box says 7 piece tankard coffee set.

Is the box of interest, or should I just add to my display?

I don't seem to be able to insert an image.

Hi there RaisedByCats and welcome to the site. Due to spammers we don't allow new members to post photos or links for a week, but you can send pics to the site on newzealandpottery@gmail.com and I will load them for you. I have a feeling this set may be Crown Lynn and am looking forward to seeing it.
