Oval Plates
Shape 8013 - Measurement: 13 X 9 1/2
See the bases are different …..
Silver maple and Palm Springs have 'curved sloped sides'
Autumn Splendor and a colour glaze have “straight sloped sides"
There is 741/10 shape ( E/W?) and vitrified version 8621 all relate to 8013 according to the notes. So which is which?

Re: Oval Plates
So far all of the Dorothy Thorpe range have had different shapes to any others and their own number.
4015 USA Shallow Oval Dish is from that range and even though it doesn't have measurements it could be the Pine oval. Are there any other ovals that belong to that range?
I guess it will have to be a process of elimination for these >_<

Re: Oval Plates
we should as Ducknuts... I don't care too much for Dorothy Thorpe stuff (to be honest) and so have no clues. I grabbed that for hubby - he likes that pattern ( even better when it has a big fat juicy steak plonked in the middle

Searching Google images I can only find the one Dot Thorpe oval plate .....
Does your plate compare for size to this one Janice?

Re: Oval Plates
old TM listing " A rather rare Dorothy Thorpe oval steak plate measuring 235mm long x 155mm wide, in the Pine pattern.
One small knife mark, otherwise in super condition.
Have not seen this size before in an oval."
Mine is way bigger 330mm X 250 mm or 13 X 9 1/2 inch
so there must be at least 2 sizes

Re: Oval Plates
so the 8013 would either be the top shape ( silver maple) or the bottom shape (Aut splend)
Is that right?

Big ovals 15 inch
I am sure the bigger ovals are 13 inch... today I bought one it's massive.. 15 inch . I have never seen an oval so big.
When I get a chance I'm going to check the sizes with the shape numbers.
It has no backstamps or markings , it's mustard/bronze in colour and has the distintive ridge line around the foot of the plate.
Boom ...Happy girl today as I got another nice piece as well
Not bad since I have told myself that I don't buy crown lynn anymore lol
