I am weighing forma cups.
Morning from Stormy/sunny/rainy/windy Canterbury. ( for the next few minutes anyway!) I was putting some bits and pieces away and after picking up some forma cups, decided that they are all different. Weighing them confirms this. First one is a forma cup with brown flower on white background,(don't know what it is called) 169gm. Then plain white forma cups, Paloma I think, 178 gm. Then a cup from Earthstone series, 216gm. Quite a difference I think.

Re: I am weighing forma cups.
Hi Thelma, there are at lease two Forma cups in the records and we need to confirm this with photos.
This trader has noticed the same thing and it caught my eye so I put it on my watchlist to investigate when time permits

Re: I am weighing forma cups.
These cups are all basically the same dimensions. The main difference is in the earthstone cup, it is thicker than the others. Also, the handles are marginally different in all 3 examples. I have a forma cup that is shorter in height than these but I still did not realise that there was so much diversity in one style of cup. But... it is CL I suppose!

Re: I am weighing forma cups.
3027 Forma Cup was first made 16.4.71
3048 New Forma Cup was first made 30.1.80
That's all of the info that we have to go on.
But if we can work out which patterns used which cup, perhaps we can identify from that source ...?
On that auction that I posted, the handles looked different somehow .... not sure without comparing, but could be lower or wider .... or something?

I thought that I had one forma cup feeling heavier than the other but in this case it was very minimal.. I will get them out and double check, to see if they look any different to each other.
