Ascot 36 Piece dinnerset
I have been wondering what my late Mother's dinnerset was, and the other day I said to Hubby, the plates feel like Crown Lynn, so I looked in the gallery I always thought it was English
It is very regal looking, with big cups ~ lucky me!

Re: Ascot.....
Oh WOW!!!!!
That looks like a variation of the Royal dinner set that was designed for Queen Elizabeth for her Coronation visit in 1953! Although the Royal one has a regal purple/red band around the outside. I will put your pic into the Gallery, as it is very beautiful and rather unique

Wow I LOVE that dinner set. I thought that mark was later than the lion Ascot, but maybe not. A while ago I finally realised that the backstamp is a race-goer with a top hat and binoculars, cute. The only other top hat ascot items I have found are little dishes with the 'Romance' scenes.

Which cup goes with what saucer
Can we see a picture of the cup on the saucer please. Could you post it to the 'Which cup goes with what saucer" stream please.
Also, this pattern is in the no name gallery. Isn't Ascot the name?

Not sure about that Glenys, as backstamps that were pattern names, are only found with that pattern e.g. Lace, Golden Bouquet, Pussy Willow to name a few.
Re: Ascot.....
Here is a photo of all 6 pieces included in the set,
and one of just the cup and saucer, which I had always referred to (rightly or wrongly) as a fat bum.

Re: Ascot.....
Such a sublime stunning set sunshine!
I saw somewhere recently where Alison Reid called those cups 'fat tulips'.
I like that term and will adopt it from now on
