Our hearts go out to our Christchurch family and friends hit hard by the Quake yesterday.

After nearly 6 months of quakes and aftershocks this must be the hardest time of all!
We live in the 'Shaky Isles' ....

We have survived the terrible earthquake being out of town and south of the damaged area. Our children are OK thank goodness but it was an anxious day trying to get messages through to them. Sharon (Soggy_fruit_loop) had part of the ceiling fall on her but grabbed her two birds and got out. Her flat is probably unliveable now. Christopher said he was at work when it happened and sheltered under his desk. He went there today for the big clean up, everything had ended up on the floor. His flat is fine. We are all just shaken up and in disbelief at all that is on TV.

It's great to hear from you Thelma and to hear that you and your loved ones are ok
